Driven Cellars sits on 41 acres of rolling hills in Amador County. The area is
recognized for the long growing season and for producing some of the best Zinfandels
in the world. The winery has won 21 awards over the last two years and has quickly
established itself as one of the top wineries in the region.
Our winemaker is Joe Shebl, who spent 10 years working at Renwood. The total production is small (less than 2,000 cases). As a result, all of the wines are made with hand-picked fruit, aged in American and French Oak for 16 months and bottled, when the wines are ready. Until recently, 99% of our wines were sold out of the winery and to our Wine Club members exclusively. Only recently, have we started to break out of our little retreat.
