CENTER FOR EMERGING MEDIA ANNOUNCES NEW HIRE
Jessica Phillips joins the company as a producer
Baltimore, MD February 7, 2008-The Center for Emerging Media announces that Jessica Phillips has joined the company as a producer.

Jessica Phillips most recently served as a producer at the Marc Steiner Show on WYPR 88.1 FM. Prior to that, she was an production assistant at the Soundprint Media Center, and an office manager at Livingston Associates, a public radio consulting and search firm.

"I am excited to join the Center for Emerging Media because it offers a chance for me to work on new projects and reach new audiences," she says.

During 2007, Jessica Phillips worked on a year-long documentary features series called Just Words in addition to her work on the Marc Steiner Show. This weekly four minute program was produced by the Center for Emerging Media and aired each Thursday on WYPR during Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

"I am happy that Jessica has joined me and is officially a part of the Center for Emerging Media," said Marc Steiner, Executive Director of the Center for Emerging Media. "We're looking forward to sharing with the public our future production plans as soon as possible."
