2009 Viognier
The Hoffman vineyard, 3.5 acres, is located in the middle of the Santa Ynez Valley. The vineyard was also “farmed” by Paige 23 Wines, thus ensuring the desired yield and quality.
These viognier grapes were divided; half were tank fermented and half barrel fermented in. The objective was blending the two batches to maximize the crisp fruit flavors of the tank fermented grapes with soft, round mouth feel of the barrel fermented grapes. This protocol added complexity to the mid-pallete that developed interesting finish.
Note:
Very characteristic of the varietal; peaches, pears and apricot are subtly dominate the flavors and provide a beautiful floral nose.
Harvest:
Half picked Sept 04, 2009
Balance picked: Sept 08, 2009
Cases Produced: 302

2006 Syrah 90 Easy St. Proprietary Blend
Scents of pepper and earth gently rise from this deep, dark ruby Syrah blend. The tannins in this wine work to bring out a pop of pepper that, while not over bearing is not shy. A light red fruit comes through in the finish creating a warm mouth feel. As Steve Miller sang…“Would somebody bring me a cheeseburger”!

Syrah Rose
This light bodied, crisp Rose’ of Syrah has an inviting bright color that leans to the red side of pink. Aromas of spicy butter cream and melon fill the glass. Flavors open with butter (in a good way) and blossom of citrus. The mid palate holds watermelon and a hint of vanilla followed by a mild pepper finish that lingers nicely. Very well balanced acids make this a very food friendly Rose’. Perfect for a picnic, brunch or maybe bacon quiche.

2006 Larner Vineyard Syrah
Big and bold with firm tannins. The deep, color of this wine is reminiscent of the skin of a ripe black cherry. The only thing soft and mild here are the smells of vanilla and smoke. Dry but not chalky, with a very mild tobacco finish. A little time in the decanter will be rewarded. Hearty foods like game for this hearty wine.

2007 Delia Marie Syrah
A steak lovers Syrah. Deep rich garnet color and a smoky blackberry aroma invite you in , then the white pepper bursts onto the tongue, bringing a little heat. Just as quickly, mellow black fruit flavors soften the mid palate. Well balanced tannins, and acid cry out for a porterhouse or oso bucco.
